Gieve and money

In a speech this evening Sir John Gieve, the Bank of England's deputy governor, gives the most explicit signal yet that money has moved up his, and by extension the MPC's, agenda. "I will be watching the trends in the growth of credit and money carefully," he says. The full speech is available here.
