From Incomes Data Services:

Median settlement level holds steady at 3.5 per cent

The median level of pay settlements for the three months to the end of January 2007 has held steady at 3.5 per cent, according to the latest figures from IDS. A significant increase to the median level of settlements, from 3 per cent for the three months to the end of December 2006, up to 3.5 per cent for the three months to the end of January 2007, was highlighted a month ago, in our previous release. The earlier analysis was based on a total of 82 settlements for the three months to the end of January. Our latest analysis confirms the shift to 3.5 per cent but this time it is based on a much larger sample, of 137 pay deals effective in the same period. January is the key month for private sector pay reviews.
